In 2008, Kristen Say graduated from the Finger Lakes School of Massage in Ithaca with a clear vision: bring real, therapeutic massage to her community — not the impersonal, assembly-line experience you get at a chain spa, but something personal, careful, and genuinely healing.

Two years later, she opened Hands On Health Massage Therapy at 70 Genesee Street in Greene. It was a one-room practice in a small town, and success was far from guaranteed. But Kristen had something no amount of marketing could replicate: hands that could find the problem, skill to fix it, and the patience to listen to every client who walked through the door.

Word spread. One client told another. Reviews piled up. Within a few years, the demand surpassed what one therapist could handle. Kristen expanded the studio, added treatment rooms — each with its own character, from the signature rustic barn doors to the sunset sunflower mural — and brought on a team of therapists who share her philosophy: every body is different, every session should be different, and every client deserves to feel heard.

2008

The Foundation

Kristen graduates from the Finger Lakes School of Massage in Ithaca, NY. Two years of intensive training in anatomy, deep tissue, and therapeutic modalities.

Opening Day

Hands On Health Massage Therapy opens at 70 Genesee Street in Greene. A single treatment room, one therapist, and a commitment to personalized care.

Growing Roots

The studio expands with additional treatment rooms, each designed with its own personality. The signature rustic barn doors become a beloved visual centerpiece.
